Description

This has been a family owned and operated since 1968. We do private charter for groups up to 24 persons. Treat yourself, friends, clients, employees, family or other groups to a productive and exciting fishing trip.

Our second generation captains will lead you on a quest for many varieties of fish. Our 52 foot Action IV 24 passenger boat normally departs between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. and returns around 5 p.m.

Enjoy fishing for Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Shark, Ling, Amberjack, Grouper, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo. Fish 30 to 60 miles offshore at oil platforms, tide rips, around anchored shrimp boats, wrecks and reefs.

Items you will need: food, drinks, alcohol is okay (in moderation), sun block, sunglasses, hat, camera, and large cooler to take your fish home in.

Texas Fishing license is required for all persons over the age of 17yrs. (We do not sell licenses)

Weekdays - $$3,475 for 18 or less (includes Monday through Thursday)
Add $222 - for each additional person up to 24 (the additional person price already has gratuity added)

Weekends - $4,625 for 24 or less (includes Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays)

$1000 deposit required

Prices includes: Fuel, Bait, Tackle, Rods/Reels

Gratuity takes care of the Crew, Captain and your fish cleaning at the end of the day (We provides the zip-locks to take your fish home in). The Captain will fillet your fish on the half shell or will gut the whole fish if you request it. Please let the Captain know before he starts cleaning fish if you have any special request. We will ask for a volunteer out of the fishing group to bag fish to help make the process go more smoothly and quickly.

The Head of Charter is responsible for loss Rod/Reels ($150 Replacement Fee)

Bringing your own tackle: Customers are allowed to bring their own tackle with permission from the Captain. Action Charters does not allow braided line, treble hooks or trailer hooks.

What type of yacht should I charter?
No matter what type of yacht you choose to charter, we know that you will have a fantastic time on the water. If you are more about the journey, and want a relaxing time aboard, then choose from one of the many sailboats on the platform. If you are more about the destination, and going fast, check out the powerboats on Sailo. For an exclusive experience, Sailo recommends chartering a luxurious yacht for the day. What should I bring?
Bring yourself, and some comfortable clothes suitable to the season you are going to be out on the water. Please keep in mind that it is often 10 degrees cooler out on the water, so a jacket or windbreaker is never a bad idea. We also recommend bringing a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, as well as a swimsuit if appropriate for your charter location. How long does a rental last?
The basic daily rental is structured as either a quarter-, half-, or full-day. A quarter-day is two hours, a half-day is four hours, and a full-day is eight hours. You can also discuss a custom trip with the boat by contacting the owner through Sailo. Most term charters (weekly rentals) are from Saturday to Saturday. Keep in mind that the boat generally needs to be back at the dock by Friday evening, and you will need to be off the boat on Saturday morning so they can prepare the boat for the next guests.
